Keep your thermostat at 68 in winter and 78 in summer.
According to Ameripower, any degree above or below these settings will cost you another 6 to 8 percent on your utility bill a month. That is a lot especially if your moving it more than 1 degree above or below. Your heating and cooling are the most expensive items to run for the average consumer, why not save a little bit each month if you can.
My theory on this is that your not gonna be able to tell a difference of 1 degree. If you don’t want to use these settings try turning it down or up 1 degree from what you normally set it on and tell us the results.
