Who knew wire hangers would come in handy with delicious snacks
Wire hangers….you get them at the dry cleaner and they accumulate in your closet. You don’t really want them because they’re sharp and make funny lines in your clothes, but when you need a hanger…well you’ll use one. If you’re cleaning out your closet and don’t want to just throw them in the trash, here are two delicious ideas (yes delicious) ways to give them second life.
Marshmallow Toaster: You’ve probably done this one before, but it’s summertime and tis the season! Unbend your hangers to make the perfect skewer to toast marshmallows for s’mores at your next bbq. Or you can roast hot dogs…really whatever strikes your fancy and is skewer-able.
Candy Wreath: Make yourself a wreath for any season – bend the hanger in to an appropriate shape (heart for Valentine’s, circle for Christmas, you get the idea). Attach wrapped pieces of candy with string and you have a colorful and fun decoration that everyone will love to have in the house.
Hopefully the next time your stuck with these twisted metal forms you’ll be able to find a new useful (and tasty) shape
