Composition is the spacial property resulting from the arrangement of things, objects, or elements in relation to one another and as a whole. There are many types of composition: assymetrical, symmetrical, radial, mondrian grid, and repetition. There is also the rule of thirds, that many photographers follow when they set up their compositions. Composition is what sets up the layout and gives the idea of and presence of the piece as the backdrop to all the other elemens.
